New HLSPs

  • Clusters in the UV as Engines ("CLUES") offers a complete FUV spectroscopic atlas of young star clusters in the CLUES survey. These star clusters are very young (<50 Myr) and massive (> 104 Msun) and they are hosted in galaxies that are part of the Hubble treasury program Legacy ExtraGalactic Uv Survey (LEGUS, Calzetti 2015). Check out the numerous stellar and interstellar medium features in the HST COS spectra, providing unique information about the massive star census and their feedback.
  • Quantifying Diskwide Ionized Outflows in the LMC with ULLYSES ("LMC-FLOWS")provides continuum-normalized S II (1250Å/1253Å), Si IV (1393Å/1402Å), and C IV (1548Å/1550Å) interstellar absorption lines (and their corresponding best-fit continuum models) for the Milky Way and Large Magellanic Cloud. Data are post-processed based on the ULLYSES DR5 data release (Roman-Duval et al. 2020), using the open-source, Gaussian Process regression package George (Ambikasaran et al. 2015).
  • Imaging of Narrow Line Region Outflows in Nearby Active Galaxies ("NLR-AGN") provides [O III] imaging of narrow line region outflows in nearby active galaxies. The 12 Seyfert galaxies span a moderate range in luminosity, black hole mass, and Eddington ratio, allowing the dependence of outflow parameters on AGN properties to be explored. This work increases the legacy value of the archival STIS spectra by providing matching [O III] images for NLR studies.

NLR-AGN: HST WFC3/UVIS imaging of NGC 3227 in the F547M (left) and F502N (center) filters. The right panel shows the continuum-subtracted [O III] emission line image with the location of the continuum peak denoted by a green cross. The archival HST STIS long-slit position angles are denoted by white shaded lines overlaid on the [O III] image. The panels show the inner 10 x 10 arcseconds of the galaxy with north up and east to the left.
