Scott Fleming - 2020 Dec 14GalexView is a Flash-based application, and Flash has not been actively supported by Adobe since 2017. Adobe and all major browsers will be disabling Flash starting on Jan. 12th 2021, at which time it will no longer be possible to use the GalexView web interface. We will be working on a new GALEX search form in 2021, in the meantime, the following interfaces are available to search for GALEX data:
- GALEX tile web forms (click on Search & Retrieval, then Tile Search, in the left menu)
- Cross-mission search via the MAST Portal
- astroquery.mast Python package (for scripted access to products)
- CasJobs (for SQL catalog searches)
Please email archive@stsci.edu with the subject 'GalexView' for any additional questions, or any features of GalexView that were crucial for your research that are not covered in the existing options above, that we may be able to include in the new GALEX-specific search interface.
