Transitioning to HTTPS Addresses

Around the end of September 2020, archive.stsci.edu will begin using HTTPS exclusively. At that time, requests using the unencrypted HTTP protocol will be redirected to use encrypted HTTPS. While GET requests should redirect properly, POST requests may not, and this may especially affect scripted usage. We therefore strongly urge users to update bookmarks, links, and urls in scripts, APIs, and apps to use HTTPS URLs (i.e., https://archive.stsci.edu/) as soon as possible.  If you have any questions about this transition, please contact the Archive Help Desk.
