3C 305 (IC 1065; UGC 09553); z=0.041639

A nearby FR I and merger remnant, with prominent dust lane across the nucleus in the optical. Studied in detail by [Jackson et al.2003]. The host galaxy is a large, elongated elliptical, with clear signs of disturbance in the optical and the IR.
