Users may be interested in finding out what has been published about a particular object related to IUE. The databases containing the references, lists of coauthors, and object name aliases are incomplete, however, there is a program available to search them called IUEREF. It is a menu program similar to SEARCH:

| objlist | List of object numbers pertaining to the IUEJRNL and ALIAS database. |
The RESET parameter is constructed within IUEREF if it is not a six element string array. The artlist and objlist parameters are useful for those planning to run the lower-level database routines.
As of 22 November 1994, the database contained articles through 1993. The lists of IUE images and objects was complete for the periods 1978-1985 and 1990-1992. Updates to the databases are done regularly; the date of the last update can be displayed by selecting option 0 from the menu.
