The IUEDAC has several other databases on line besides the Merged Observing Log (see Section 2.1. Most of them are in the same ``database'' format as the Merged Observing Log. Programs have been written for accessing each of them, which use the same software to open, search, read, and close the databases. Those interested in using the lower level database procedures should contact a staff member or consult the file dbexpert.txt in the !iuer.inf directory.
Other than the lower level routines, each of our databases has at least one top-level procedure available to read it. Some of these procedures are menu driven (like SEARCH), and some simply retrieve requested information without any user interaction. The menu routines generally allow you to append searches or to search on the results of previous searches, and have several print formats.
The ``new'' (and as yet unpublished) Kurucz models are stored in database format. See Section 11.1 for a description of the software available for extraction of the models.
The standard star spectra themselves are not stored in database format, but there is a database describing those spectra (including observation dates, spectral types, etc). See Section 11.2 for a description of the software available to read that database.
The Kelly and Palumbo Line List Catalogue is not in standard database format. You may use the KANDP program to access it.
