3C 433; z=0.101

This cluster member [McCarthy et al.1995] has a peculiar radio jet oriented north-south. We see an elongated elliptical galaxy with a bright nucleus. The nucleus is totally absent in the optical band [Chiaberge et al.1999]. A patch of emission detected by [de Koff et al.1996] in the optical is also present to the northwest of the nucleus on our NICMOS image. Two companion galaxies lie to the north-northeast. A bright foreground star is visible on the northern corner of the image.
