This object is often classified as a BL Lac in the literature. In our image it appears as a round and smooth galaxy with a very bright nucleus that causes marked diffraction spikes. The main knot of an optical synchrotron jet visible on the WFPC2 image [Martel et al.1999] is also weakly present on the near-infrared.
