3C 300; z=0.270

A double-sided FR II HEG, hosted by a compact, elongated  kpc elliptical host galaxy with a faint companion 8 arcsec East, and a very faint tidal distortion. The radio axis runs roughly SE-NW, and there is a faint thread of emission along this axis on the NW side, which is a candidate jet. However, it is almost lost in the noise of the NICMOS chip edge.
