The source name is assigned by the calibration software, based on source information contained in the NIRSpec MSA meta data file. The value is the concatenation of the program number and the source ID value (keyword SOURCEID), which is a unique integer value for each defined source within a program. The concatenated program and source id numbers are stored as a string value in the SRCNAME keyword.
