MAST is happy to announce the coming release of a brand-new Hubble data search form, with a modern look and feel, improved performance, more accessibility, and many useful new features. While preserving the functionality of the original MAST HST search form, this new form will also include:
- Search on multiple targets without the need to upload a target list.
- Data downloads direct from the search results, without FTP staging.
- Customized API scripts generated through the search form, for use in your own programs.
- Type-ahead suggestions for certain fields (such as Filters / Gratings).
Eventually, this new form will replace the original MAST HST search (they will overlap for a time to allow users to transition). We’re currently polishing things up and writing documentation for the initial release, so follow MAST on Facebook and Twitter for the most up-to-date announcements. Once the new form is live we will send a more in-depth newsletter that highlights the new capabilities. We are excited about making this new form available to you, and we look forward to hearing what you think of it!
