KEPLER_FFI Field Descriptions

You may submit queries using any of the fields listed below. The "Column label" is the name displayed on the search forms and in search results. The "Column name" is the actual column name in the table and needs to be specified in GET requests. (See the MAST Services web page for information on submitting GET requests.) If the "Column name" is in italics, it means the table is indexed on that field and queries with that field will run faster. Clicking on "Data Type" entries will display information on search options.

When using the "user-specified field" form element on a MAST search form, simply select the column "label" in the forms pulldown menu and type in the qualification in the adjacent box. If you specify constraints on the same column in more than one form element, they will all be included in the query and you may not get results you expect. Note the entries in the table below may be sorted by clicking on the column headings.

Column Name Column Label Description Examples/Valid Values Data Type
Column Name Column Label Description Examples/Valid Values Data Type
sci_data_set_name File Name Data set name or root name. KPLR2010140101631 string
sci_archive_class Archive Class DADS archive classification. Currently the available entries are full frame images (ffi), long and short cadence collateral files (CLL, CLS), artifact removal pixel files (ARP), background pixel files (BKG), Reverse Clock (RVC) and Ancillary Engineering data (ENG). Valid values include FFI, CLL, CLS, ARP, BKG, RVC, and ENG. string
sci_start_time Start Time Planned start time in standard date format sample entry: 2009-12-17 00:23:19 datetime
sci_end_time End Time Planned end time in standard date format sample entry: 2009-12-17 00:52:45 datetime
sci_generation_date Archive Date Date the file was ingested into MAST archive sample entry: 2010-05-21 11:40:57 datetime
sci_data_quarter Quarter A sequential number indicating the quarter in which exposure was made. 0 to greater than 11 integer
sci_skygroup_id Skygroup ID An integer value from 1 to 84 describing the module/channel where the target falls. 1 to 84 integer
sci_module Module Each pair of CCDs comprise a module and corresponds to four output channels (two per CCD). Each output is read out by a unique analog signal chain (e.g. amplifier). 1 to 21 integer
sci_output Output OUTPUT is an integer ranging from 1 to 4 describing one of the four output channels. An object can have a non-zero output number if it is off, but near, a CCD. Each module has four output channels (two per CCD). Each output is read out by a unique analog signal chain (e.g. amplifier). 1 to 4 integer
sci_season Season Time of year in which file was obtained. 0 to 3. See the Kepler Seasons table . integer
sci_channel Channel CHANNEL is an integer ranging from 1 to 84 that uniquely specifies the MODULE/OUTPUT pair. There are 21 modules, each with 4 outputs for a total of 84 channels. 1 to 84 integer
sci_release_date Release Date Date when data becomes public. All FFIs are non-proprietary except for those obtained during commissioning period. sample entry: 2010-05-21 11:54:00 datetime
