User Specified Search Field

You may search on any column listed below. Where reasonable, the table lists the range of valid values or a set of sample values. A description of the column is also given. Note the column "label" is the name displayed on the search forms and in search results. The column "name" is the actual column name in the table and needs to be specified in GET requests.

From a MAST search form, simply select the column "label" in the forms pulldown menu and type in the qualification in the adjacent box. Note that if you specify constraints on the same column in more than one form element, they will all be included in the query and you may not get results you expect. In a HTTP GET request, specify the column "name" in the service request. (See the MAST Services web page for information on sumbitting GET requests.)

objtype Object type Type of object based on EPIC values ("star" or "extended") plus target names assigned to Custom Aperture observations (e.g., extended.M35). star, extended.M35. Most C0 targets are currently null. char
sci_data_rel Data Release Describes the latest data release for a particular exposure. only 1 for now long
sci_ra RA (J2000) Right Ascension in decimal degrees as extracted from the ingested FITS file headers range: 90.09 to 106.13 although values are stored in decimal degrees, valid formats for queries include: "19 28 29.65", "19h28m29s", 292.12354 double
sci_dec Dec (J2000) Declination in decimal degrees (from the FITS file headers of ingested files) range: 14.13 to 28.99 stored in decimal degrees but can be queried using values such as: "+37 14 04.5", "37.23458" double
ktc_target_type Target Type 2-character Target type Either LC (long cadence) or SC (short cadence) char
sci_archive_class Archive Class archive class in science table used to distinguish long and short cadence light curves and target pixel files only TKL (target pixel files) for now. Note if both a light curve and a target pixel file exist, or just a light curve file exists, the archive class will refer to the light curve. char
refnum Ref Current number of known papers referencing this dataset. none yet long
