Significant contributions to the success of our enterprise came from organizations and people outside our immediate science and engineering team. We are indebted to all of them, and a few will be mentioned here.

We are grateful to the Ball Aerospace Systems Division for its commitment to the IMAPS instrument program over its 15-year lifetime and to the many individuals in that company who worked on IMAPS, both during our sounding-rocket years and preparations for Astro-SPAS. The Astro-SPAS group of Deutsche Aerospace under the leadership of K. Moritz did a thoroughly professional job in carrying out their technical and management roles for the mission. R. Stachnik and E. Weiler of NASA Headquarters gave steadfast support for the IMAPS program, even in times of difficulty. We are also thankful for the financial contributions from DARA that enabled Astro-SPAS to accommodate IMAPS. The Optical Sciences Division of the Goddard Space Flight Center assisted us by coating and testing our gratings. The sounding-rocket group at the University of Colorado were generous in providing their time and their vacuum test facility so that we could carry out an end-to-end test of IMAPS with a far-uv light source. The Kennedy Space Center did much to meet our needs during the prelaunch processing, and we owe much to V. Whitehead for her assistance in working with the various KSC organizations. E. Choueiri of Princeton University donated his time and laboratory resources to perform a test program to investigate our photocathode damage.

The development of the IMAPS instrument and the research program were supported by contract NAS5-26268 and grant NAG5-616 from NASA. Most of the development of the data reduction software was done by E. Jenkins shortly after the mission, while he was supported by a Humboldt Research Award for Senior U.S. Scientists from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and was a guest at the Astronomisches Institut at Tübingen.
