FUSE INITIAL CHECKOUT GOING SMOOTHLY

Subject: FUSE Status Report-June 25,1999


Please be advised of the following FUSE status:

Accomplishments:

 - Nominal launch on June 24,1999 (15:43:59.879 GMT)
 - Solar Arrays deployed successfully and locked
 - Attitude Control System (ACS): All sensors and actuators enabled and
      working nominally
 - All primary spacecraft subsystems are nominal
 - Telemetry / Command verified for FUSE Network elements (USN/Hawaii
   JPL/DSN/Goldstone,FUSE/UPRM,GSFC/Wallops (No CMD required) and GSFC/Space
      Network)
 - Received and implemented GSFC/FDF provided orbital parameters (based on
      inertial guidance data and C-band radar solutions)
 - FUSE Satellite Contol System software and facilities are nominal.


Planned Activities for June 25,1999

 - Clock correlation and adjustment
 - Coarse Sun Sensor follow mode checkout
