EUV/IRAF Layered Package
The EUV package is the basic data processing and analysis for astronomers using EUVE data. Developed under the IRAF as a layered package, it is portable to all systems that are supported by the IRAF from NOAO.
Simbad Program
The simbad program is a command line interface to the Sets of Identifications, Measurements, and Bibliography for Astronomical Data (SIMBAD III) of the Centre de Donnees Astronomique de Strasbourg (CDS). This program has been developed and tested under SunOS 4.1.x. It requires tcl and expect.
Rolo Program
The rolo program is used for maintaining and searching rolodex files. It is commonly used to maintain lists of related information (e.g. address book). This utility has been developed and tested under SunOS 4.1.x. It currently requires a mawk-compatible version of awk, that supports regular expressions as record delimiters. The program also runs under SunOS 5.x using gawk 3.0 or better.
Directory Watching Facility
The watchd utility is a simple directory watching facility. It is used to automatically take action whenever files of a specified type arrive in the directory being watched. This utility has been developed and tested under SunOS 4.1.x.
Simple Paging Facility
The sepage facility is a simple paging system. It is used locally to persistently page operations personnel concerning automatically detected problems. This facility has been developed and tested under SunOS 4.1.x. It requires tcl and expect.
Automated FTP
The autoftp utility is a simple automated FTP application. It is used locally to automatically retrieve data files from remote sites. This utility has been developed and tested under SunOS 4.1.x. It requires tcl and expect.
Table Awk
The tawk utility is a programming language for processing tables. Tables specified on the command line are scanned by tawk and loaded into various arrays which the user can manipulate using a subset of the AWK language. The tables are specified using a generalized ascii table (GAT) representation. This utility has been developed and tested under SunOS 4.1.x.
CRC Library
The crc library is a C interface and library for asserting and verifying cyclic redundancy checks (CRC). This library has been developed and tested under SunOS 4.1.x.
Tape Backup Facility
The tbackup facility is a simple tape backup system. This facility has been developed and tested under SunOS 4.1.x.
Flexible Software Installation
The fsi package is a general facility that enables flexible installation and control for complex systems. This package has been developed and tested under SunOS 4.1.x.
Configuration Utility
The conf utility is a simple mechanism for handling configuration information for scripts and programs. This facility has been developed and tested under SunOS 4.1.x.
Miscellaneous Utilities and Libraries
The misc package contains a collection of miscellaneous utilities and libraries. These have been used and tested under SunOS 4.1.x, HP-UX, and Linux.

appendpaths(1) - concatenate paths eliminating redundant components
bundle(1) - archives ASCII files using 'shar' archive format
catport(1) - utility for communicating with a remote port
cleanenv(1) - meta-level file interpreter, purges environment
gmtime(1) - convert ASCII Unix seconds to other ASCII formats
locallog(1) - utility for handling local asynchronous message logs
netio(3) - network service access routines
printenv(1) - print all or part of environment
pslabel(1) - PostScript filter to add identifying labels
purgepath(1) - purge unwanted components from path
slock(1) - surrogate locks
strptime(3) - wrapper around strptime(3v)
timegm(1) - convert ASCII GMT to ASCII Unix seconds

These utilities and libraries have been developed and tested under SunOS 4.1.x.
